Packers, Gerbils headed to victories; Recliners should hold on for first win of season

Javonte Williams scores his third rushing touchdown of the day, a career high, as the Band Aids improve to 4-0.

RB Javonte Williams scored a career-high 26 points, scoring three rushing TDs, to lead the Band Aids to their fourth consecutive win, a 101-90 victory over the Tirades (2-2). WR Puka Nacua, back after a two-week absence due to injury, and QB Josh Allen both added 18 for the Band Aids (4-0).

That battle is one of two that are officially in the books after Sunday's play, and a couple of others are all but done going into tonight's Monday Night Football game as the Falcons visit the Saints.

The Packers have beaten the Spread Beaters 105-64 and still have TE Juwan Johnson going tonight to pad that huge lead.

The winless Recliners hold a 19-point lead over Who Dey, but Matty McCumber's Bengals Mafia still have WR Chris Olave to go tonight, so that lead is not safe.

Who Dey isn't the only team dependent on the Saints passing game tonight: The Gerbils trail the Rangers 92-87 and need Saints QB Tyler Shough to score at least 6 points tonight to pull out a victory.

The final matchup of the weekend has winless WTNE leading the Invaiders (1-2) by one, 63-62. Each team has one guy going tonight, but the Invaiders have the edge with RB Bijan Robinson (expected to score 16) and Jordan's Garcia WTNE hoping that WR Drake London scores more (he's expected to get 10).

Detailed recaps on all five games coming tomorrow.

Injury update

There were many yesterday, including some that will have huge ramifications.

First, QB Lamar Jackson (Recliners) suffered an injured ankle on the last play of the second half (he'd scored 8 points). backup Tyler Huntley came off the bench to score 14 in the second half. Jackson's out for at least a week.

RB Saquon Barkley (0 points) pulled a hamstring in the first quarter on Sunday against the Rams and did not return. Not sure how sever the strain is at this point, but he'll likely miss at least a week (if not four). If you are thinking "great, I'll grab Tank Bigsby" (Barkley's backup), maybe think again. He's also injured, going down in the fourth quarter.

But the receiver corps is where things got really ugly yesterday. Eagles WR DeVonta Smith

(Packers) did not play due to a hamstring injury. Both Bengals starting WRs got hurt: Ja'Marr Chase (Recliners) suffered a first-quarter concussion when he was blatantly face-masked by Jaguars DB Jarrian Jones; Tee Higgins (Tirades) went out later with an abductor injury. Two Chiefs receivers also went down yesterday. WR Rashee Rice (Beaters) pulled a hamstring and may miss a couple weeks; If you were thinking about grabbing Tyquan Thornton (Free Agent, 23 points yesterday) forget it, he's likely out for the season with a dislocated ankle.

The Broncos defense (Packers) lost three starters yesterday against San Francisco (Go Niners!), including both cornerbacks: Pat Surtain (ankle or achillies) and Riley Moss (ribs).

Another player who could could miss time, though not due to injury, is TE Trey McBride (Invaiders) who may face a suspension after a profanity-laced tirade with a sideline official.
