Who Dey shows ESPN predictors who's boss

Underdogs rip Tirades to shreds; Packers, Rangers and Spread Besters also post victories; Band Aids and Gerbils game is the only one in doubt (and there's not much doubt)

CJ Stroud was picked up by Who Dey on Wednesday and on Sunday led the team to victory over the Tirades.
CJ Stroud was picked up by Who Dey on Wednesday and on Sunday led the team to victory over the Tirades.

Matt McCumber was without his Bengals Mafia (QB Joe Burrow, RB Chase Brown, K Evan McPherson and the Cincy defense) but didn't need any of them as Who Dey improved to 5-1 with a dominating victory over the now-hapless Tirades (2-4). Matty rode seven starters who scored in double figures, led by recent pickup QB C.J. Stroud with 22, and lead 111-37. The Tirades have QB Brock Purdy and RB Christian McCaffrey (Go Niners!) going tonight, but they might not reach 60.

Before we get to the other three games that have wrapped up, lets look at the one that hasn't: The Band Aids and Gerbils are tied at 60 going into the Monday night game between San Francisco (Go Niners!) and Washington. Chuck Nelson's Gerbils (4-1) are in position to put this away, with three players going to Bob Garcia and the Band Aids (4-1). The Gerbs have K Eddie Piniero, WR Mike Evans — if he plays despite broken ribs and an achillies issue) — and TE George Kittle (Go Niners!). The Band Aids have Commanders WR Terry "No Scorin" McLaurin. Chuck is predicted to win by 21. It would be the second consecutive loss for the Band Aids and fourth win in a row for the Gerbils.

Other games that are in the books:

John Lambert's Rangers (2-4) took son-in-law Jordan Garcia's WTNE (0-6) to the woodshed, winning 101-56. RB Chuba Hubbard's 18 points helped John avoid having his K Chris Boswell (Go Steelers!) lead his team in scoring with 17. The Rangers had five starters in double figures, while WTNE had two: TE Isaiah Likely (17) and QB Dak Prescott (10).

Matt Pringle's Spread Beaters (2-4) also cracked the century mark with a 100-55 win over Chris Zimnoch's Recliners (2-4). The Beaters had four in double figures, led by QB Drake Maye (23) and 19 each from RBs Jonathan Taylor and Bhayshul Tuten. And, as we've often noted in the past, when your kicker is the leading scorer it's typically a bad sign, and K Harrison Butker led the Recliners with 12 (and was the only starter in double figures).

Jeff Lambert and the Packers improved to 5-1 with a win over Vern Ahrendes and his Invaiders (3-3). The Pack leads 85-77 hand have QB Jayden Daniels going tonight against San Francisco (Go Niners!). Jeff got 20 from RB James Cook, 17 from K Chase McLaughlin and 16 from WR Matthew Golden. QB Jordan Love led the Invaiders with 20 and Vern also got 14 from some free-agent pickup names Germie Bernard (and no, I am not making that up).

Complete recaps tomorrow morning.
