Reports that Band Aids were dead may have been premature

Bob Garcia's team wins again to keep slim playoff hopes alive; Spread Beaters stun the Recliners in battle of Silent Division leaders

Najee Harris rolled to 23 points for the Band Aids, leading them to a win over the Saddles.

First they shock the Tirades in Week 10. Now they've gone and done it two weeks in a row, stunning the division-leading Saddles. Who woke up the Band Aids? This week it was Najee Harris who came through in the clutch, as the RB scored twice in a game for the first time this season and almost doubled his TD output for the year in the process.

But before we get too excited about the Band Aids, realize that the guy who sparked this resurgence, QB Justin Fields, suffered a shoulder injury late in the game Sunday and may not be available this week. He's averaging 31.3 points over his last four games, so that would be a serious blow.

The Spread Beaters also posted a stunning upset this week, a lopsided win over the Silent Division-leading Recliners. Will this prevent the Recliners from winning the division? That's doubtful, given they still have a two-game lead over the Beaters with four games to play. Matt Pringle has given himself some hope of a division title, but he must win out and hope the Recliners lose three of four -- which I suppose is theoretically possible as they play the Gerbils twice, the Pillows and the Rangers. The Beaters lose the tiebreaker by one point after splitting the season series and getting outscored 177-176 in the process. The Recliners did lose RB Joe Mixon on Sunday to a concussion, and who knows when he'll be back from that. Could be this weekend, could be a month.

Here's a look at how Week 11 broke down.

Band Aids 97, Saddles 92: In addition to Harris' aforementioned 23, Fields scored 22 and David Montgomery added 17 to lead the Band Aids. Blayze did not have Tua this week, Justin Herbert was back in at starter and was a letdown again (18 points). He did manage to keep this interesting thanks to the Commanders defense, which led the Saddles with 19 points (wow, Houston is horrible). Jonathan Taylor added 14 for the Saddles, who dropped into a first-place tie with the Tirades in the Shit Talkers Division.

Beaters 104, Recliners 74: Jalen Hurts scored 24 points (most of them came late in the game) and Derrick Henry added 22 as the Beaters (6-5) said "hold on, Recliners, you have not won the division title yet" to Chris Zimnoch. The Patriots defense, which held the Jets to three points and scored on a questionable punt return in the final seconds (two illegal blocks, neither of which were called, helped there) added 17 points. George Kittle led the Recliners (8-3) with 20 points and two receiving TDs on Monday night, but the usual suspects (Mixon, Saquon Barkley and Lamar Jackson) were a letdown last weekend, combining for 24 points.

Gerbils 95, Packers 67: Joe Burrow scored 26 points and kicker Tyler Bass added 23 as the Gerbils (5-5) kept within a game of the ST division leaders with a big win over the Packers (5-5), who are also a game back of the lead. The always-reliable Austin Ekeler added 15 for the Gerbs. The two Joshes (QB Allen and RB Jacobs) led the Pack with a combined 26, but Allen's sore elbow may still have been a factor as he had only 11 points. Deebo Samuel added 14 for the Pack with a 39-yard TD run, the longest of his career.

Rangers 63, Pillows 45: David Carr and Justin Jefferson each had 13 points as the Rangers (6-5) survived this low-scoring battle to remain in a second-place tie with the Beaters in the Silent Division. The Pillows (5-6) did not have a single player score in double figures.

Tirades 90, Invalids 63: It was the Kansas City connection that led the Tirades (6-5) to the win as Vern watch his former first-round draft pick, TE Travis Kelce, haul in three TD passes from QB Pat Mahomes on Sunday night. The two combined for 56 of the Tirades 90 points, so it did not matter much that WR Mike Williams (1 point on one catch before his ankle injury sidelined him again) started instead of Brandon Aiyuk (two TDs, 14 points). The Tirades will be fishing for a backup TE today as Kyle Pitts ended his disappointing season with a knee injury on Sunday. QB Aaron Rogers led the Invalids with 19 and left WR Johsua Palmer's 22 points on the bench, getting a whopping three points combined from his starting receivers, Ouch.
