Packers, Recliners score big wins

Updated: Nov 25, 2025

Both teams have control of their divisions as we head down the stretch toward the playoffs

Packers RB Christian McCaffrey's 30 points said "peace, out" to the second-place Gerbils.

Commish Jeff Lambert's Pack manhandled Chuck Nelson's Gerbils in the battle for the Shit Talker's Division lead, and Chris Zimnoch's Recliners took care of Matt Pringle's Spread Beaters to take sole possession of the Silent Division as things begin to clear up as we approach the playoffs.

The Pack improved to 9-2 and have a three-game lead over the Gerbils (6-5) with four games to go. The Recliners (8-3) moved a game ahead of the Beaters (7-4). And those four teams are the odds-on favorites to form the 2025 postseason bracket. The Gerbils (57% likely) are the most likely to get bumped by Jordan Garcia's WTNE (6-5, 30% odds) and the super-dark horse would be Vern Ahrendes' Invaiders (5-6). I'll let the Swami prognosticate about that stuff later in the week.

Swami update

Speaking of the Swami, he had a mediocre weekend and it's his own damn fault. He went 2-3 on what appeared to be an "easy" week. Wins: The Band Aids over Who Dey (shocker!) and the Pack over the Gerbs. He lost (shocker!) by taking the Tirades (again) as well as the Beaters and WTNE. He's 31-24 for the year.

Trade watch

We're exactly where we were this time last week. CeeDee Lamb (Invaiders) and Bijan Robinson (Recliners) will be free agents next season unless traded by Nov. 26. Jonathan Taylor has been dangled like a side of prized beef by the Tirades since October. He's dry-aged now, so make an offer. Also likely available are QB Josh Allen (Rangers), RB Breece Hall and WR Ja'Marr Chase (Tirades). And anyone else work a damn that aren't on the top four teams. There are eight shopping days left before the Nov. 26 trade deadline.

Week 11 Recap

Packers 108, Gerbils 80: First-round pick Christian McCaffrey (Go Niners!) scored 30 points to lead the way for Jeff, whose other two RBs both scored 16 each (James Cook and De'Von Achane). Jaymr Gibbs led the Gerbils with 19.

Recliners 105, Beaters 86: Bijan Robinson scored 25 and TE Trey McBride had 17 as the Recliners took over the Silent Division lead. TE George Kittle (Go Niners!) led the Beaters, who appear to need RB help badly (maybe they could trade for someone?), with 18 points.

Rangers 119, WTNE 60: Trade-bait QB Josh Allen scored 42 to lead John Lambert's team (3-8) in this rout. The Steelers defense added 21 and WR Christian Watson added 16. Jordan's offensive output (what there was of it) was led by K Jason Myers' 15, and that says everything.

Band Aids 74, Who Dey 69: RB Derrick Henry had 17 and TE Mark Andrews 12 as Bob Garcia's team improved to 3-8. QB Jordan Love led Matty McCumber's offense with 23 points as Who Dey dropped to 4-7.

Invaiders 116, Tirades 63: Who saw this coming? Well, everyone except Vern, who picked the Tirades (again). He also won the free-agent RB pickup lottery as TreVeyon Henderson outscored Woody Marks 27-4. RB Kenneth Walker III added 16 and Travis Swift 15 for the Invaiders (5-6). QB Brock Purdy, back after a seven-week absence, scored 20 for the Tirades (4-7).
