Another useless 137-point win

Hapless Tirades explode again, just in time for another unexplainable loss to Invalids

Sure, a 137-point game is typically something to be excited about. But not in the Tirades camp. They were going up against (arguably) the league's (other) crappiest team, the Band Aids, and were looking to sand bag the game and hopefully draw closer to the league's worst record. They have no playoff hopes, only hope to improve next year's draft picks.
So they benched the ultra-reliable Daniel Jones at QB and went with (gasp!) 49ers backup Mac Jones (no relation). Keeper WR Ja'Marr Chase was already on a bye week. RB Aaron Jones was listed as questionable, so great! Put him in the lineup instead of a healthy player. WR Quentin Johnston has had multiple double-digit games, so better get him out of there and start Marvin Harrison, who has been the opposite. And get Kyle Pitts in there at TE, because he never does much of anything.
How'd that work out? Well, it did not really matter since the star of fantasy football in 2025, RB Jonathan Taylor, had a 46-point game. Yes, that is the same Jonathan Taylor who was made available to the highest bidder A MONTH AGO but no one has made an offer. Oh, and his last six games? Glad you asked: 28-19-30-35-5-46. For the season, he's averaging 23.7 points a game, more than three points a game over any other player (even QBs!) in the JSFL. But none of the five teams (you know who you are) that are contending for the 2025 championship could use 23.7 more points per game. Yep, I get it. You don't want to coast to a title, you want to fight for it. Moving on...
Trade watch
As mentioned in a breaking news post last week, free-agent-to-be WR Justin Jefferson was traded by Who Dey to the Packers for (really!) a seventh-round pick, some stiff WR and a pack of Juicyfruit gum. Still out there are RB Bijan Robinson (Recliners) and WR CeeDee Lamb (Invaiders). Also likely available is QB Josh Allen (Rangers) and RB Breece Hall and WR Ja'Marr Chase (Tirades). There are 15 shopping days left before the Nov. 26 trade deadline.
Swami update
If he'd only gone against his instincts and picked the Tirades, Swami would have been a perfect 5-0. Alas, he took the Band Aids, who lost by 63 points. Yes, you read that correctly, the Band Aids lost by more points than Who Dey scored (53) last week. Anyway, Swami is now 29-21 and is at least two weeks away from dropping to .500 on the season. Yay!
Week 10 Recap
Tirades 137, Band Aids 74: As previously noted, Taylor's 46 points in Berlin early on Sunday morning decided this one. QB Mac Jones had 22 (Go Niners!), RB Breece Hall had 18, WR Emeka Egbuka had 17 and "questionable" RB Aaron Jones posted a 12. If the Tirades had gone with the Jacksonville defense instead of Tampa Bay, they've have hit 146. If it had not been for QB Caleb Williamson (24 points) the Band Aids would have been led by kicker Jake Bates (12).
Beaters 116, WTNE 101: Jordan Garcia picked a bad week to play the Spread Beaters. Seven of Matt Pringle's nine starters scored in double figures, led by QB Jaxson Dart's 29 (before his concussion). WRs Drake London (18), Nico Collins (15) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (11) led the way for Pringle as his team improved to 7-3 and remained in a tie for first in the Silent Division. The Seattle D led WTNE (6-4) with 20.
Recliners 104, Invaiders 78: QB Matt Stafford led the way with 27 and TE Trey McBride added 18 as the Recliners (7-3) remained tied for first with the Beaters. RB Kyren Williams (20) led the pack for Vern Ahrendes' club (4-6).
Packers 92, Rangers 81: Jeff Lambert's crew (8-2) held off brother John's team (2-8) to remain atop the Shit Talker's Division with a two-game lead over the Gerbils. RB De'Von Achane led the way for the Packers with 34, QB Lamar Jackson had 16 and K Cameron Dicker 14 and those three were the only guys to score in double figures.
Gerbils 92, Who Dey 53: RB Jahmyr Gibbs scored 34 and QB Baker Mayfield 22 as Chuck Nelson's team (6-4) won to try and keep pace with the Packers in the ST Division. WR Davante Adams added 13. It was not a good week for Matty McCumber (4-6) whose team has now lost two in a row after a four-game win streak. He had three donuts (RBs Rhamondre Stevenson and RJ Harvey and the Bills defense) and K Brandon McManus
had 1.
