Is King Henry the magic man, again?

There were two trades at the Wednesday deadline as the Spread Beaters continue to load up for a postseason run as a potential dark horse.

Matt Pringle has gone all in on a 2025 title run, trading to get RB Derrick Henry back on his roster.
Matt Pringle has gone all in on a 2025 title run, trading to get RB Derrick Henry back on his roster.

Matt Pringle, after losing out on WR CeeDee Lamb and Kyren Williams from the Invaiders, shifted gears and set his sights on reacquiring RB Derrick Henry from the down-and-out Band Aids and landed him for 8th-rounder (escalates to a 6th if he wins).

King Henry returns to the Beaters after being dealt to the Band Aids at the deadline last year – pacing Bob’s championship run and setting up Pringle with a boatload of extra, early picks this season. If Pringle goes all the way, King Henry will be the focal point of four of the last five JSFL champions.

The other marquee move at the deadline was the swap of keeper WRs as the Invaiders moved Lamb and a 10th-round pick to the Tirades for WR Ja’Marr Chase and his 12th-round pick.

The stunning developments this season were the decisions by Chris and John (as of this being written nearly 36 hours shy of the midnight deadline on Thanksgiving night) not to make any moves. Chris apparently is opting to keep two-year-keeper RB Bijan Robinson in his pocket for the playoff run, making him a free agent at the end of this season and someone who cannot be traded before the 2026 Draft.

John apparently did not find anyone to move QBs Jalen Hurts or Josh Allen to for draft picks. Which further begs the question, what the hell were you thinking, John, by taking Josh Allen with your first-round pick this season when you already had keeper Hurts on the roster?

As we count down the final three regular-season games on our schedule, the Week 13 offerings are a bit ho-hum as no challenger faces a rival or a team trying to get into the playoff dance. And only one spread this week is less than double digits.

The biggest question facing us this week is: Will Chuck and Pringle hang on to the final two playoff spots? Statistically, both have a great chance to advance.

The Packers are the only team in the postseason field with their Week 12 win. The Hermosa Recliners are one win away from punching their playoff berth (97-percent chance), and the 7-5 Gerbils (an 84-percent chance to advance) and Spread Beaters (a 76-percent chance) both just need to win two of their final three games to guarantee a playoff spot.

The 6-6 Invaiders likely have to win out (a 25-percent chance). And the Invaiders and Spread Beaters play each other next week if the Invaiders can finally find a way this week to beat the fucking Rangers.

Week 13 Schedule

For the first time in many weeks, we don’t have any teams on a bye. And, we have four games on the slate before Sunday morning.

Three games are on the slate for Turkey Day and all three of those games are the potential highest-scoring games of the week and fantasy stat gold mines, according to ESPNBet. The early game features the Green Bay Packers at the Detroit Lions (the over/under estimate is 48.5 points between those two teams). The afternoon game features the Kansas City Chiefs at Dallas Cowboys (the over/under estimate is for 52.5 points between those two teams), and the evening game has the Cincinnati Bengals at the Baltimore Ravens (the over/under estimate for that game is also for 52.5 points).

The Friday game has the Chicago Bears taking on the Philadelphia Eagles on Prime Video and the over/under estimate is 44.5 points. The Sunday night game has the Denver Broncos traveling to Washington, D.C., to take on the Commanders. The slate wraps up Monday with the New York Giants visiting the New England Patriots.

Draft Picks Update

The Tirades appear to be the early team to watch in 2026 as Ron has landed a haul of extra draft picks in the days leading up to the trading deadline. He has four extra picks in his pocket before the draft begins. He has two of Matt Pringle’s picks — a 9th-rounder and at least a 5th-rounder (escalates to a fourth if the Beaters reach the finals, and to a second-rounder if he wins it all) — and two additional picks in the 10th round (one from the Gerbils and the other he secured this week from the Invaiders).

The Invaiders pocket two extra picks for 2026 (a 9th-rounder from the Pack that escalates to a 7th if he wins it all) and the Tirades’ 12th-rounder.

Game of the Week

Spread Beaters (7-5) vs. Band Aids (3-9), Beaters favored by 7: With four games that all have double-digit spreads, it is hard to find a compelling matchup to feature for “Game of the Week” status. The spread on this one is expected to grow once King Henry (projected for 17 points and still in Bob’s starting lineup) swaps locker rooms and dons the Beaters’ uniform, either in Ashton Jeanty’s spot (projected for 10 points) against the Chargers or at flex for Emeka Egbuka (projected for 9 points). This one is the closest thing to a compelling watch. If the Spread Beaters can put this one in the win column, Pringle can inch closer to league approval to start printing playoff tickets as he closes his finally two weeks with the upstart Invaiders and the thorn-in-his-side Rangers. Securing the playoff rights to Derrick Henry was the first step towards climbing closer to a playoff berth and then using King Henry to club the down-and-out Band Aids one last time. Pringle is favored along most of the head-to-head matchups. He gets the positional edge at QB with a backup (Jameis Winston subbing for the New York Giants at the New England Patriots), both RBs (with Jonathan Taylor and King Henry), WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, tight end George Kittle, flex (either WR Emeka Egbuka or Jeanty) and the Denver Broncos defense at the Commanders. The Swami says take the Beaters and 10.

Best of the Rest

Gerbils (7-5) vs. Tirades (4-8), Gerbils favored by 35: Chuck just wants to put another W on the board and the Tirades are a sight for sore eyes. The Gerbils have the easiest closing schedule of any playoff contender as he faces the Band Aids in Week 14 and closes with fellow playoff contender Recliners in Week 15. The mighty Gerbils get the edge at every position but two (a tie at tight end and kicker, and an edge to Ron on defense) as he expects to get a bunch from Patrick Mahomes on Thursday at Baltimore, from both RBs (Jahmyr Gibbs and former Tirade Breece Hall), both WRs (Davante Adams and Rome Odunze), and flex (RB Travis Etienne Jr.). This is a no-brainer as the Swami thinks the Tirades have already started prepping for the baseball draft in March. Take the Gerbils. By a bunch.

Recliners (8-4) vs. WTNE (6-5), Recliners favored by 12: Needing just one win over the final three weeks to clinch a playoff spot, Chris would rather seal the deal this week against Jordan and WTNE. Positionally, the Recliners are favored at all but one spot (Jordan gets the edge at defense with the Seahawks hosting Minnesota). The rest all fall in Chris’ favor with QB (Dak Prescott), RB1 (Bijan), both WRs (Puka Nacua and Jaylen Waddle), tight end (Trey McBride), flex (WR DK Metcalf) and kicker (Tyler Loop of Baltimore). The Swami says the Recliners punch their playoff spot with a win.

Invaiders (6-5) vs. Rangers (4-8), Invaiders favored by 15: If this was any other team, the Swami would not hesitate to go with the favored team. But, there is a history that has the Invaiders choking every time the Rangers roll into town. They met just a few weeks ago (the Invaiders were favored) and the Rangers won by 5. The Invaiders enter this one favored at nearly every position, but why do we smell an upset and an end to the Invadiers’ season coming? The Invaiders get the nod at both RBs (Kyren Williams and TreVeyon Henderson), both WRs (recently acquired Ja’Marr Chase and Chris Olave), flex (RB Kenneth Walker III) and the Browns defense. The Rangers are favored at QB (Josh Allen) and tight end (Hunter Henry). The Swami swallows hard, breathes deep, and says take the Invaiders and 1.

Dog of the Week

Packers (10-2) vs. Who Dey (5-7), Packers favored by 37: A blowout of epic proportions looms in this one. With a playoff spot clinched, will the Packers ease up on the whip or proudly pound on Matty’s team one last time? The Packers won the first matchup in Week 9 by 28 points. They might win by just as many again this time. The Packers are favored at all but one position (WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba). The Packers get the nod at QB with Drake Maye, both RBs (Christian McCaffrey — Go Niners! — and James Cook IIII), WR George Pickens, tight end Travis Kelce, flex RB De’Von Achane, and kicker Brandon Aubrey. The Swami says don’t think twice and take the Pack by 25.
